I've sold my book.  Now What?

Many authors believe that finding a publisher is all it's going to take to be successful.  After all, the publisher will market, advertise, and promote their book, right?  Well, no.  It's an unfortunate reality of the business that publishers can't promote all of the thousands of books they may publish in a year (think about how many imprints Random House or Simon & Schuster have).  Therefore, unless your book was licensed to a publisher for some incredible sum of money, chances are that you will be doing more to promote that book than your publisher will.  So how do you do that?  Well, Andrew Zack, a veteran of many cycling training programs, wrote an article on just that subject for The Writer magazine, and you can read it here for free.  Just click the link below to open the PDF file.  You will need Adobe Reader to read it.  If you don't have Adobe Reader, you can download it for free by clicking the link at the bottom of the page.
